over-nite tag .. sweet dreams..

over-nite tag is what ive always dreamed of. playing 24+ hours...

bringing your survival and camping gear.. like a real soldier... going deep into the woods... and setting up a base.. preying on the enemey as they sit cosily by their camp fire... takeing turns on nite-watch at your own base...

how to play: each group will have their "starbase" or whatever you would like to call it.

each team will have a range of places to put its campsite on each side (to keep it simple)

each team will set up their camp with their base device/tagger in the middle and a flag next to it.
they can fortify it but they just cant put anything within 6 ft of it (cant hide or cover it )

basicly each team spends all day setting up and deffending camp while simultaniously trying to destroy the other teams base device/tagger.

with ltto it would be a kings game.. and there will be a bit of a problem with haveing everyone meet in the middle and rehost again.

rules.

required: radio(per player), first-aid kit(per team), food and drink.

must be some responsible adults experienced in the wilderness..(on each team)
no alchohal drugs e.c.t...

all campfires must be far away from trees and tents.

attack groups must contain 3 ppl and 1 must be an adult. or a group of 6 14-18 year old teens (resposible) may attack on their own. (we dont want little kids getting lost do we?)

if you wish before nightfall cars would be allowed to bring in the rest of the stuff that couldnt be carried by the player. (coolers grills.. more food.. generators..)

If you use DIY equipment, better add
- soldering iron
- solder
- wire cutters
- mile of wire
- spare IR leds
- workbench

seriously i mean it, this afternoon i went to a friends place to play some laser skirmish, and before we started we had 5 working guns, and one claymore. After setting the guns up etc 3 had broken leaving 2 guns and the claymore . My point here is that if you make your own laser guns, dont rush them to get them finished earlier, and double check your wiring and connections.

it is going to be sometime during the summer when the new hasbro tagger comes out. people are too poor to make their own here. So to get more people we will make the weaponry the hasbro taggers. but for now this is just a posting of rules for feedback. but it is in louisian
and its on 6000 acres of private land (brothers tree farm)

It sounds more like a Regimental HQ rather then a simple platoon harbour.
If you want to pretend to be a soldier over a 24 hr period forget the extra food, time to eat your normal food, forget grills, gens the works. Just have the clothes on your back, sleeping bag, hoochie, pack, rats, weapon, ammo, poop tickets, ET, and then you will be good to go.

Laser storm is in high consideration but being a Victorian makes it some what harder and quite a lot more expensive.
