Thread: King of the Hill: Game Box

  1. Has anyone built a domination box?

Anyone built one using MilesTag Micro PC Board?

  2. i built a 'multi-game-box' and iīm now looking for some more game ideas.
    it has 4 switches, 1 button, a 20x4 lcd and a beeper

at this time i realized 3 games:
    1. code timer - bomb defuse ... 16 codes to defuse
    2. king of the hill
    3. electronic capture the flag - shoot the box from close distance to score.

    anymore ideas ???
i want to design a new circuit-board and produce it in a small series to reduce the cost. layout / software will be available for anyone interested, or maybe buy it ready built from me.
if interested i can post a picture of my last version

  3. I definitely would be interested in something like this. It's something I've been interested in for a long time, but I'm no where near smart enough to build anything like this. Anything you could post here would be awesome

  4. this is the old version:

4 switches, used for defuse-code or king of the hill. on the picture is a king of the hill game running, 4 team-colours (in german)
4 ledīs - one for each team
    key-switch
    defuse-button

i want to replace the switches with buttons. the switches can be damaged during rough gameplay or transport.
key-switch is expensive and will be replaced by software (pressing 2 buttons for 3 seconds turn on/off or something like that)
battery-charge maybe through usb-port ... donīt know if this is going to work
optional: bluetooth connection to pc/pda (around 15 EUR) to configure / get results

  5. That looks awesome. On your new box, do you have to shoot it to capture it in king of the hill? That's a feature I've always wanted. It would help keep people from cheating (and I play with a number of people that would cheat if they could)

  6. yes, there will be a sensor. you have to shoot through a tiny hole in the top to hit it. this feature can be disabled through the menu. i didnīt test it yet. you should not be able to hit it from a distance.
our system is 56khz based but i guess it will work on 38khz as well.

the sensor is also used in the eCTF-Game - shoot the box to tag the flag. you can tag the flag again after a time (e.g. 1 minute)

but the important question is: does anyone has more game ideas ???
i donīt have any commercial interest. i would sell these boxes for the production cost.
