Clan Wars in North America - Laser Recon

While I was at IAAPA Expo last week, I saw Adventuresports is starting a clan war for 2007 at thier fields. The site they advertised is www.laserrecon.com Derek Petit was at GenCon in California to promote this, but I did talk briefly to Ryan at the Adventuresports booth. I hadn't seen any mention here, so I thought I should make sure you guys knew about it.

They are saying 2000 ft of range!!! Is that possible????

Laser Recon IS the new Adventure Sports ASALT system. Since the Sept posting, the firmware was revised to support the class-based game configuration.

Per my conversation with Ryan, the new equipment will start shipping in Jan 07 (8 weeks lead time is common for commercial laser tag gear). The "clan wars" style can be run on the old equipment at participating fields.

2000 ft range under the appropriate conditions (not during daylight in an open field). Check out the equipment web site at www.adventuresportshq.com and you see range listing for various lighting conditions. Ask MilesTag about the gear performance, as this is his circuit & program.

bit of a late post i know... and it might not technically be on topic, but those guys need to fix up there website, alot of little bugs and glitches - not very professional

Also their rank images are taken from the game Battlefield 2 ... if they didnt get copyright permission they could get sued for that little bugger up
