New field!!!

OK, who wants a new field based south of Perth?

This field will be operated by Dangerous and Dodgey. Games will be focused in the directions of Simulation, and fast-paced action, similar to what was available earlier last year.

Milestag\Fragtag\Realtag will be used, as will EWoW. Hobby guns welcome.
Weekend long, overnight, and extra long games, with the emphasis on realism being the norm.

No ranks, no tests, players will be ranked according to individual effort, as well as team achievements.

Let me know if you want it!!!

PS. This is not a promise to bring the above to fruition, just a 'call to arms'. If there is enough want, maybe it will happen.

That's ok PB. At the last gig we introduced Ranks (ie worn), but it didn't quite work as well as we would have liked. So, unless really wanted, I won't do it again.

This sounds like agreat idea. I like the idea of having fast as well as realistic type games. I remember the first Elite session you ran. That was fantastic. Granted I led the US forces to a miserable defeat but the game was slow and the distant sounds of your troops being killed made you think to use a better strategy (or that the current plan was kind of stuffed). I hope this does happen. If so, were abouts would you have it?

Basically there isn't a location I have in mind. If anyone out there has a few acres south of Perth, and isn't too concerned about an income for approximately 12 months, then I need to talk to that person.

The field needs trees. The thicker bush, the better.

Once I have a location, I can get guns. And the experience and business model isn't an issue either.

Dangerous you need to sit down and write down all the things you will need to spend money on. You will be amazed how huge the budget can get.Getting a good buffer between your games and pissed off neighbours is also useful. If you are going legit and applying to the local council budget a minimum of $10,000 for council and state government and to pay a town planner to help you,with the development application,
. Allow one year minimum for the paperwork if you have a dream run.
See how you go with public liability insurance before you start.
