It's on my to do list, I've seen these machines cnc'ified and they can do some pretty good stuff. I do want to get 'good' at the manual side first and save up some money to do the conversion.
Dave, Since that you've got a milling machine now, why not spend couple of hundreds more and add on CNC milling, you'll just need 3 stepper motors and a motor board!
