  2. PCB's have arrived

by on 30-03-2010 at 09:32 PM (DIY Laser Skirmish - Optical Tag)
    The PCB's finally arrived today.

We had 1x weapon, 1x player, 3x sensors, 5x magazines and 1 multi I/O board printed on each 86mm x 109mm sheet. As the PCsB are 1.2mm thick its quite easy to cut the individual boards out.

the weapon board (bottom left) measures 24mm x 69mm for size reference

We plan to make up 2 sets over easter weekend to test it all out.

  5. Slight change of plans

Ok I was going to mod the long sleeve lycra shirt but instead decided to leave it as is and have gone the hack on a cheap tshirt instead. All the tshirt really needed was long sleeves to camouflage the arms ( I considered camo paint on the arms or a complete body tattoo), so used two pieces of the scrim and sewed them on as sleeves. After hemming the ends and forming basic cuff I tried it on, quite nice. The scrim material is very breathable, I stood in front of the air conditioner and got a brease ...
