Date: Saturday, 23rd May (4th sat)
Time: 1500 hrs to 2100 hrs (6 hrs); rego at 1400 hrs

Cost: $25 + $15 equipment hire if needed

Normal 6 hr evolution only it is half in daylight and half at night.
Arrive early for additional training.
Stay overnight to test your bivi gear.
Extra training and missions on Sunday morning.

This will be a great deployment to bring along anyone who has not been for a while or someone you know who has talked about attending but never got around to it. You could almost call it a MilSims Open Day!

toilets at storm will be portables, the ones at mislsims are permanents. So you probably wont beable to test your shit out as extensively as you thought... :cool:

foods that are high in fat and dairy products (could go hand in hand with high in fat) are known to cause constipation... so I suppose if thats desirable, break out the chips and chocolate milk in the week before storm

Oh, I intend to go no matter what the weather is... I just don't want to be on my way in and get an SMS saying it's been called off.

Like I said, I just want as much notice as possible if it is canceled.

Regarding my kit... I've just changed my rig around to accommodate a backpack, and I'm kinda happy with it - though it might be a little off balance. I'll find out on Saturday.
My backpack is the same that I used last time - it'll do the trick for now and easily fits everything in - though I'm looking at spending about >$300 down the line very soon (thanks to my Ray Mears infatuation) to get something that will work with (future) overnight deployments, and for the camping I'm intending to do when not on deployments.

To be honest, I'm not going to spend any time on my crappy eBay backpack. It was cheep shit, and not worth the effort. I figure I could fix the problems now, but more will appear down the line. I'm better off spending money on quality.
