Anyone had any experience with this kind of thing?
http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/g-p-sling-bungee-cqb-r-swivel.html
I'm looking for a sling just to hang the tagger from, more so than to help support it during firing. This looks pretty good but am keen to hear some opinions.
I use a home-made single point sling with a Fastex clip on my P90. It's attached to the front right side of my chest webbing and comes in very handy for hands-free admin tasks. Haven't used a bought one though.
im the same as allen i have always made my own slings (except when RSM's busted us and made us go unslung) as i find a lot of the purpous built ones just dont cut it as far as quality of clips and fasteners
and i simply also like my rifle slung off my rig as when i used a normal sling it always got caught on communications cables ,webbing or any other piece of equipment in the area where as one mounted off the rig is simply attached to one of the D rings on the rig and falls nicely where i want it

So you guys just have a short strap and clip it to your harness when you need to go hands-free?

Yep - but it's clipped there all the time and has enough length to not get in the way when actually firing. Bungee slings seem like a good idea in this respect - anyone used one?
Completely agree on having it attached to the vest/webbing as Oni pointed out - I've tried it over the chest/shoulders and while it's better than nothing, it does get tangled in everything and is a great pain the arse. (or a pain in d'arse?)

make sure you go ebay for half the price HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Milspec-CQB-Elastic-Bungee-Snap-Hook-Rifle-Gun-Sling-OD_W0QQitemZ110347026476QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Hunt ing?hash=item110347026476&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318)
was looking at picking up something similar, or just making it myself.

i've found slings are crap for actual combat because usually it'll impede you in either the aiming, sprinting or acrobatics department (or a combination of which).
That said in games sorta 24 hours and above it's a great invention for those of us too lazy to do anything one-and-a-half handed or who need to do something two handed with an assault weapon (as opposed to a pistol) still on their person.
As rudimentary as this is, it does the job.

Im looking for a harness for my tagger... i dnt think a sling around my next will be good... it gets saw after a while... but if i had a harnes that went over my sholders and around my chets that would be good.....

Most slings can be worn over the shoulder (over one shoulder, under the other so it sits diagonally across the back) - this shouldn't stress the neck.
If you have a vest or similar however, attaching the sling to this is the best option.

I made my own version of this:
I can unclip one side and the weapon hangs nicely away from my front, if I need to access my admin pouch. Otherwise, clipped across both, I find it shoulders nice and quickly.
BTW, I'm using BFS commandos with this sling, and for the connection to the gun, I have a length of webbing that I loop through the hand-hold, and back up into a clip - and use some velcro fasteners to tie up the loose ends.

where's Sigorney Weaver in that photo?
I'm sure you could kill an alien or two with those things!

Holy sensors batman. Do the LazeRage taggers/systems take differing damage depending on where the player is hit?

Thanks for the tips, made one today very similar to Owl's, works great and cost next to nothing.

Where is the best place for sourcing clips and webbing to do you DIY stuff?
Bunnings and Mitre 10 both stock webbing and fastex-style clips but usually in black. For green or tan some disposals carry them. Military equipment suppliers such as The Camping Quartermaster and Australian Combat Equipment (both at Enoggera, one behind the other), SAS Equipment (Gaythorne), Brisbane Disposals (Redcliffe) or online supplier The KitBag (WA) should all be able to help.

You can also get clips and webbing from Spotlight stores. I also got a metal 'u' piece (the centre point for my sling) from BCF.

I'll take a photo of my sling in more detail.
In all honesty, I've got more additions than needed. ...and more webbing (though not enough for a new sling, sadly.
Over the next week, I'll have a look at mine and see what I can remove, now that I know it's working, so the photo should be an 'essential' list of what's needed.

For those who watch Stargate SG1, here is a photo of the single-point harness/sling for the FN P90.
Im not sure who makes it, but several other rifle slings that they use are manfactured by Blackhawk (Great quality but bloody expensive)
Its construction is simple, so making your own should be fairly easy.
The one downside I have noticed about single-point slings is that, depending on where on the weapon it is located, it can cause the weapon to swing excessivly. This is especially the case with taggers that are heavier at the front.
I myself am experimenting with different sling types for several of the taggers at Laser Corps

It helps if you include a link to pics in your post lol

it also helps to have a link that works. lol.
But, yeah, the SG1 concept was what I was looking for when I stumbled across my current style.
